Use cases

See the tools applied to real branch decisions.

Most of our banking work is confidential, so each use case runs on SimFinancial, our fictional bank. Each one starts with the decision it helps you make.

Layout

Know where the line will form before you change the layout.

This small sketch compares a branch’s current layout with one that adds a greeter and an ITM, an interactive teller machine with a live teller on video. The same personas arrive during the same lunch hour in both layouts. Switch between them and watch the teller line.

The sketch uses made-up inputs. The Branch Experience Simulator runs your own branch, in 3D, with your data.

Not BXS output, not a forecast: made-up arrivals, self-service share, and step times, for one seeded lunch hour with the same personas in both layouts. Orange is the first persona who needs cash after 12:30; when it disappears, it has left. Real numbers come from a bank’s own data.

Investment

Know which change will improve customer experience most before you fund it.

In this study, one SimFinancial branch tried five common changes, one at a time: teller training, an in-branch ATM, a greeter, a check-in kiosk, and a universal banker. Each version met the same customers on the same days, so every difference came from the change. Other changes can be tested the same way.

Teller training helped a little: trained tellers served faster, and fewer customers left. But the line still formed, because many people in it never needed a teller. The larger gains came from changing the mix, with the greeter, the ATM, and the kiosk working together.

Community

Know the community around a branch before your first meeting.

A Branch Brief for one SimFinancial branch, built from public data alone, describes who lives and works nearby, how they are likely to bank, and the questions worth simulating next.
